Sun vs. Moon Wager! - 6/13/08
My phone doesn't ring all that often, but when it does, you can be sure it's official, important stuff! This time,
my phone rang and it was Fancy Dan Shahin on the line and he had some strange news for me. The moon was out and
it was glowing a strange orangish color in the evening sky. I went out to take a look and sure enough, there
was something glowing up there in the sky.
It wasn't much of a mystery though because I could tell that it was the sun being blocked out by smoke from
a big fire in the mountains. Dan thinks I'm bluffing all the
time though and he guaranteed me that it was indeed the moon. We went back and forth on it for a while and for a brief
instant my neighbor Chris thought it was the moon too.
As all things should be settled, Chris and I wagered ten bucks each that it was the sun and Dan took the moon
for the full action.
End result?... Sun.
How many of you can actually say that you have made money betting that the sun was not the moon?
